In this unit students learn to make polite requests and ask for permission . II. Teaching key and difficult points: A. Vocabulary

do the chores, do the dishes ,sweep the floor, take out the trash, fold the clothes, clean the living room , do the laundry, wash the car, buy some drinks and snacks, borrow some money, invite your friends teenager, hate, take care of , feed

Recycling: make the bed, say out late, use the car ,get a ride, cook, clean, fun, boring, relaxing, CD player B. Target language

Period I

Students learn to make polite requests and ask for permission. II. Teaching key and difficult points: A. Vocabulary

III. Teaching methods: Audio-lingual methods and PPT IV. Teaching aids: a tape recorder, macromedia V. Teaching procedure: Step 1. Revision&Warming-up 1. Greetings.

2. Enjoy an English song. 3. Daily talks with students. T: What did you do yesterday? S: I did my homework/played basketball/went shopping/listened music… (students may have different answers. Praise them if they do well.) Step 2. Presentation 1. Enjoy ourselves. Watch cartoon Cinderela.

A: How often do you do it? B: I do it once a week/everyday…

6. Find 4 chores should be done, then ask the other to do it for you. 引出目标语Could you please …? Yes, sure./Sorry, I can’t. 7. Listening . 1b , Peter’s chores or Mom’s chores?

理解目标语Could you please clean your room? Yes, sure. Write “M” for Mom’s chores, “P” for Peter’s chores in the chart. (1 )Read the instructions.

(2)Play the recording the first time. Students only listen. (3)Play the recording a second time. And fill in the chart. Then check the answers.

Step3. Practice&Consolidation. (1)Pairwork

Look at the picture, Ask your partner to do the chores that you see. (2) Interview :

Who is the most able at home?

1) What chores do you do at home? How often do you do the chores? Work in four, interview each of the students in the group, fill in the chart. 2) Then one student make a report to the class. “In my group…. Does the dishes every day,…We think … is the most able one in our group.”
